Questions importers actually ask

No. You enter your email address, we send you a six-digit code, and entering it gives you an eight-hour session. Within it you can submit several products, resume drafts, answer a clarification and view your decisions. There is no password and nothing to remember between sessions.

If the product type falls to another authority we tell you which one and stop there — nothing is payable and no request is created. If nothing matches at all, you can send a free scope enquiry to the secretariat; that is how the list grows.

That is a question for you and your manufacturer, not for us. The acts and harmonised standards recorded on your decision are the ones your Declaration of Conformity declares. The verifier assesses whether that declaration is coherent, appropriate to the intended use you declared, and still current.
