Import with confidence.Put products on the market people can trust.
Submit the compliance documentation for one product before shipment. The MCCAA issues a formal decision, published at its own address with a QR-coded receipt that Customs can resolve at the border.
The same decision, on the quayside
What you get out of it
Two practical reasons to have your documentation checked before the goods move.
Five steps, start to border
Choose the product type
Pick your product’s category. If it falls to another authority we tell you which one, before anything is payable.
Work through its checklist
Each product type carries a reusable checklist — typically an EU Declaration of Conformity plus photographs of the product and its marking.
Upload and declare
Add your documents, the trader and applicant details, and the product’s intended use.
A verifier vets the file
A designated MCCAA verifier assesses completeness, the formal validity of the Declaration, the acts cited, whether they are current, and whether everything is coherent.
You receive a formal decision
VERIFIED or NOT VERIFIED, published at its own address with a QR-coded PDF receipt Customs can resolve.
A decision at its own address, and a receipt that resolves to it
A QR code encoding the verification address, the ImportaMT and MCCAA identities, the reference, the outcome and the validity position — and a statement that the live status page prevails over any printed copy.
Where a validity date applies we email you 60 days and 14 days before it, naming the citation responsible so you can ask your manufacturer for an updated document. One-click unsubscribe.
The verifier may raise a single clarification round. You upload the document asked for and reply; the clock pauses while it is with you.
What this service is not
ImportaMT checks the compliance documentation you supply for one product. Be clear about the limits of that check before you pay anything or plan around it:
Under the scheme rules, the service also does not include:
- physical inspection of products
- sampling or laboratory testing
- product certification
- type approval
- legal representation
- review of commercial contracts
- customs clearance or tariff classification
What to expect
Register your interest.
Tell us the product families you import and we will write to you when you can start a verification. Registering records your contact details only.
